SkinLobby - your CS:GO marketplace and trading hub   10/14/2016

Hello! I'm sure most of you don't recall me, but that's fine. I'm not so active, especially now, when I super busy. I'm VPP's developer. I'm maintaining any backend jobs on the CVPP site, ad well am fixing issues Toan reports to me that needs to be fixed. For last few months, I've been working under CS:GO Skin site, about which you most likely knew nothing until now. We also been beta testing it for the past month or so, and I believe it's the time to let you guys try it by yourself. But before I do so, I'd like to tell you a bit about the project; At first, it supposed to be match betting site, with advanced pricing system, to escape from CSGOLounge's problem. Some of you might noticed, their pricing system wasn't always fair. That's because they were not putting any effort to get prices updated, they were updating them once new cases came out. BUT. Gambling with STEAM API got disallowed, and because I had such great base for CS:GO skin site, I thought I shouldn't dump the project. And that's how currentSkinLobby's idea turned into an actual project. SkinLobby is a marketplace platform built around the CS:GO trading community. On the backend, it's running bots finding safe price* for each item individually. Before I let you use it, please continue reading: SkinLobby is still in beta stage. It's missing a lot of features that will be implemented, and you might experience some bugs while using the site, therefore please don't panic, and I'd really appreciate if you would inform me about bugs you find. Either via STEAM, or under this post. (if that's security issue, please inform me in private).  Currently known bugs and problems are: Pricing system doesn't fetch all the items - temporary disabled.   Caution! You're going to experience some front-end ugliness. As I'm a backend developer, and my graphic designer had just little, I was forced to design the site by myself. The template will change, and is on my todo list!  Links: SkinLobby STEAM Group STEAM Bots ME   PS anyone is welcome to add me on STEAM and talk to me about the project. Wether you wanna share with some ideas, you wanna be part of the project or to just say hi - I won't bite you!   Best Regards, Patryk Cieszkowski

  1. Since we're talking maps on the server(Dallas). I miss overpass too. Any formula to why such a short rotation of maps? I know I'm new here just not sure why the rotation between the double dust_2 is so close. Double dust_2 is a great idea in my opinion. Just curious why it's so close because it's not hard to get sucked into CS:GO for two hours or so and then you're playing dust_2 twice in one session. Not a bad thing just curious if you guys had a specific reason for that.
  2. I hear you on how fun playing counter strike is. I was out of it for a good time and the whole time I wasn't playing I would think back on the fun times had either being competitive or just goofing off. Would be cool to see some VPP action like HEHE is saying, but all we would be catching is how much HEHE like to role play and drink white wines and get tipsy.
  3. You guys are awesome. Thanks for the quick response and understanding to how that can become a problem when the server is trying to build up people.
  4. I know there's nothing we can do if all the good players try to get on the same side of a match. But the Dallas server allows players to join a certain side even if the two sides aren't balanced. For example it is 10v10, then 11v10. After that the server allows an additional person to make it 12v10 and I think even one more in certain circumstances. Is there any way to limit it to 1 over? Or is that a CS:GO or steam issue that can't be controlled by any individual server?

  6. I will be in teamspeak as soon as I figure out my mic situation. Just had a PC built for me and for some reason it isn't reading my headset. I also like mysteriously moist things......
  7. I understand better now. Sucks how much things are trying to go mainstream and everything is being done behind a dollar. Glad to hear confidence from you.
  8. Well actually there is a suggestion I have being a new guy to the community. The forums seem dead as hell just as the server (Dallas) has been seeming from time to time. As I stated in my introductory post I was active with 4hm and a member of Mayo. When 4hm started to die the diehard members were kind of accepted elsewhere. Not too many feelings were hurt back then when things faded for 4hm. The reason I believe is because there were quite a few solid servers still active and fun to play on. With my short stint back so far with CS:GO is that there are not too many close knit groups that are laid back in pubs like you guys. I think most of us would hate to end up being regs on servers with the 15-16 year olds of the world. Not saying that day is near. Just seems like there should be more activity here on the forums. So I guess the short way to my suggestion is people just be active here in the forums as well as the server. Everyone so far seems to be able to take a joke and laugh at themselves to a certain extent. I'll be around and will try my best to add to the fun had here. I have imgur tax attached.
  9. Yea I remember scrimming with you guys now. I went under jadevoisin or jadeAKAjade. I'm glad I'm here too hope I can contribute with some of my experience in some shape or form. Definitely won't be contributing with my skills just yet. I can't even hold a 1:1 kdr but I'll be back up to a 1.5:1 or so before you know it. One thing I did notice that you guys carry some pretty strong players. Always fun to have someone around better than you.
  10. Thanks NOTmario, thought someone would get a chuckle. I do remember a Du Ma and I want to say Cheapshot was one that was around often but that was way before he hit puberty. Some of the guys from 4hm and ub had it out for certain people just because.
  11. Most of you probably see me fairly often on the Dallas server as of lately. I've been out of counter-strike for a little over 8 years or so. So I just got the crackhead like feeling to play again in the past couple of months and ran across yall server. Played and searched many other servers and so far you guys seem like the right group of assholes to play with. Back in the day I was a extreme regular of 4hm and ub servers. Also a former member of Mayo also based out of Texas. Hope all stays well and hope we get to piss each other off in the near future.
