      SkinLobby - your CS:GO marketplace and trading hub   10/14/2016

      Hello! I'm sure most of you don't recall me, but that's fine. I'm not so active, especially now, when I super busy. I'm VPP's developer. I'm maintaining any backend jobs on the CVPP site, ad well am fixing issues Toan reports to me that needs to be fixed. For last few months, I've been working under CS:GO Skin site, about which you most likely knew nothing until now. We also been beta testing it for the past month or so, and I believe it's the time to let you guys try it by yourself. But before I do so, I'd like to tell you a bit about the project; At first, it supposed to be match betting site, with advanced pricing system, to escape from CSGOLounge's problem. Some of you might noticed, their pricing system wasn't always fair. That's because they were not putting any effort to get prices updated, they were updating them once new cases came out. BUT. Gambling with STEAM API got disallowed, and because I had such great base for CS:GO skin site, I thought I shouldn't dump the project. And that's how currentSkinLobby's idea turned into an actual project. SkinLobby is a marketplace platform built around the CS:GO trading community. On the backend, it's running bots finding safe price* for each item individually. Before I let you use it, please continue reading: SkinLobby is still in beta stage. It's missing a lot of features that will be implemented, and you might experience some bugs while using the site, therefore please don't panic, and I'd really appreciate if you would inform me about bugs you find. Either via STEAM, or under this post. (if that's security issue, please inform me in private).  Currently known bugs and problems are: Pricing system doesn't fetch all the items - temporary disabled.   Caution! You're going to experience some front-end ugliness. As I'm a backend developer, and my graphic designer had just little, I was forced to design the site by myself. So far, the plugin has been working great so you deserve every ounce of credit there is Liam along with Toan's approval. Keep up the good work and thanks! However, I think I might have found a small bug within the plugin. Here's what happened.

I refreshed my server list and noticed that the game was at 33/32, so I decided to connect through IP since I wanted to get in and wait for a spot to open. The game/map loaded and all of the sudden I was on the team menu screen and not automatically assigned to a team. I was able to choose my own team which was T-Side since CT-Side wouldn't let me as it was most likely full. I decided to disconnect and reconnect again to see if the problem was still occurring which it did not therefore I was automatically assigned to a team which was CT-Side. I think there was also one or two people in spectate as well. The map was cache and I joined in the middle of the game (I forgot the rounds/score and pre/post half-time).

My thoughts/guesses:

1. As soon as I joined the server, perhaps someone immediately disconnected as soon as I clicked continue and was about to get automatically scrambled however; the plugin might have failed and allowed me to be on the team menu screen and pick a side.

2. Maybe the number of spectators in a full server along with the first point I made could have caused the bug.

3. Maybe the number of spectators in general is affecting the plugin in some way.

4. It could also be where the plugin will NOT ALWAYS work effectively for every single player that connects to the server therefore allowing very few players at random times to choose a side.

5. Luck?

I'm not that much of a debugger or problem solver, so take my thoughts as guesses and not facts.

If you join spec while both teams are full and then you join a team after some leaves, it pops up the "You cannot join a team while the match has started" or something error

1. I will investigate this futher.

2/3. Possibly there are too many spectators however the teams should never be full. I will try disabling that where it will says teams full. Really they should be full on 30/30 if all players in  server are playing.

4. This is an odd one, will investigate further.

Removing the "Teams Full" feature may resolve this issue. My guess is there are too many spectators.

This may resolve the issue as auto balancing is still enabled and the feature that I have added has it's own Team Balancing so it maybe conflicting and prevent my Autobalancing from working and resulting in Teams being open for selection.

I will also test this later toady on the test server and will remove the other auto balancing option in the server config now that we have our own that pretty much does what the other auto balancing options just more advanced.

A Hotfix has been applied to hopefully resolve these issues you have both raised, please let me know if these issues have been resolved with the Hotfix I just rolled out.

I think this is the right forum. So I love love the plugin but I think it is the reason that we have been having massive lag during peak hours. Toan said during those times the server CPU utilization was at 100%. Can you look into that Liam?

Toan has mentioned the CPU has been at 100% since the plugin was added. This is most likey due to too many plugins. This has been scheduled for removal.

Force auto assign will still be operational as normal since it is a vavle config line.

Cool,  cause aerver has been laggin quite a bit,  and I'm getting frame drops randomly.

Besides that,  alot of people actually like the plugin (besides the few who bitches about everything)  So it's been doing well

I honestly think a server wide vote on whether or not skins should stay would come back at like 80%+ saying no.  It's a lot of textures to load just so people can troll.  Also, anything that might help lower the sv/var a bit at full capacity and give people more fps would be great.

On the serious note, the server has been lagging the past few days, the sv goes all the way to red and stays there constantly and yesterday during peak hour, the serve lagged super hard, making it unable for several players to play.

This should be resolved with today's maintenance, server performance should be improved and back to normal.
